Athenee Palace Hotel
Constructed in 1914 by French builder Teophile Bradeau, this Athenee Building (at this time a posh Hilton accommodation) was made famous in Olivia Manning’s novel, Balkan Trilogy, as a core of conspiracy and also espionage at the time of World War Ii.
